Jack
Jack
Jack is my family's eight yr od Mixed Terrier dog. My son Joe was seven when he begged my husband and I for a dog. We searched several places and finally we adopted Jack from the NorthEast Animal Shelter in Salem,Ma. He was nine weeks old and so tiny. The shelter told us he came in that day from Nebraska. When the adoption papers were all singed we took Jack to his new home.
He became comfortable right away. I have never had a dog as a pet,so it was a little bit of a challenge for me. Potty training was the hardest. I made sure he went out side at least three or four times a day and my husband and I would take turns bringing him outside in the middle of the night. Soon he was potty trained and Joe and I would take him to the park.Jack loved exploring the outside, everthing was new to him. He liked to roll around on the grass and sniff every everthing in site.
Jack became a member of our family. I watched him grow from a small puppy with a soft voice, to an adult with a bark as fierce as a Lion's roar. But don't let that voice fool you he is a lovable dog and is just telling us what he wants. Jack is my family's best friend. He stays in Joe's bed until Joe's asleep then he make his way to my husband and I and snuggles with us in our bed and fall asleep so peacefully until the morning.
Jack brings so much joy to our lives. He is always happy to see us when we come home, that his tail is wagging a mile a minute. He loves to ride in the car. If we just say the word car he looks up with those curios eyes and waits for someone to get his leash. Then he jumps right into the car and his fur blows from the wind when he sticks his head out the window.
Our four legged friend is a loving, loyal, protective animal, who can put a smile on anyone's face that meets him.
